Teeswater
I'm now web-worthy again so I will try and keep up with posting articles after games. It may not happen 100% but as I said I will try.
Maybe this game was not the one I should write my first article on. The boys played really well and both teams are fairly well matched. As is evident by the two games we played against Teeswater, we are each others equal. A 4-3 victory at home and then this game which ended in a 2-1 loss. We started off strong and notched the first goal early in the first period. Lowell Johnson did all the work, skating end to
end in a Bobby Orr-esque rush that resulted in a big at rebound for
Colton Stoddart. Colton`s shot was thwarted but Bre
t Knowlton picked up the loose puck and slammed it home for a 1-0 lead. Teeswater retu
rned the favor late in the period and the te
ams remained locked at ones until the last minute of th
e game. The lead-up to the goal was an icing call that I feel was unwarranted. However, we ended up with a draw in our end late in the game
, the loose puck ended up on a Teeswater players stick and then off the post & in to give the
m the lead late. We pulled Michile Hooper from the net
to apply an extra attacker but we were unable to get anything going in the last 60 seconds and fell to even the season series and one each. Yours
truly, for reasons not worth repeat
ing will be unavailable for our next game on Saturday vs Listowel. Good Lucks guys, Colton & I will be having a family Christmas and will miss you as you make amends to
last games misfortunes. See you Wednesday.
