Durham Atom Girls Score First Goal of Season - Durham Minor Hockey Association

The Durham Atom Girl's constant pressure against the Walkerton Capitals was finally rewarded.
 After an intense and scoreless first period, and with 2:02 remaining in the second, Huskie centerman Allyson Burgess fired one at the Capital's net and earned herself and the Huskie's their first goal of the season.  Assists went to Kayla Schenk and Natalie Nixon.   The Capitals answered back quickly scoring with 1:35 remaining in the second.  The Huskies came out battling hard again in the third making the Capitals netminder make a few saves. The Capital's were able to put one past the Huskie's goalie and score the tie breaking goal with 2:08 remaining the third. The Capitals won 2-1.    Great Hockey Girls!
