The Midget LL Huskies played their last four games of 2008, and managed to win two out of the four. First, the Huskies travelled to Southampton to play the Saugeen Shores Storm on Dec. 12. In the first period, Kyle Green started the scoring for the Huskies with a power play goal, assisted by Matt Surridge and Curtis Caswell, to give the Huskies an early 1-0 lead. Finally in the third period, Green scored two more goals, giving him a hat trick, with assists by Ken Campbell, Caswell, and Luke Ronka, to take a 4-0 lead over the Storm. Just as it looked like goalie Justin Paylor was going to get a shut out, the Storm scored two goals in an attempt to make a comeback, making the final score 4-2 for the Huskies. The three stars of the game were Green, Surridge, and Paylor.

In the second period, the Rebels came back with another goal, to take a 2-1 lead over the Huskies. Then things got quite crazy in the third period, which was filled with penalties, adding an exciting spin on the game. Anderson scored for the Huskies to tie the game 2-2, assisted by Green. Next, Green scored two goals, one unassisted and the other assisted by Caswell. Finally, Stevens scored, assisted by Caswell, giving the Huskies a 5-2 lead. The Rebels then scored one more goal late in the period, to make the final score 5-3 for the Huskies. This win was a fantastic effort on the Huskies part.
