Huskies win 2 at Silver Stick
Submitted By Lonnie MacDonald on Saturday, December 27, 2008
The Novice Huskies started their Silver Stick Tournament today in Ripley at 10:00am.

A good start to the tourny today when our Huskies played Seaforth and walked away winning 2-0. Although we played short handed for 10 minutes of the 30 minute game we managed to net two. Scoring in the first period was Jordan MacDonald, assisted by Alex Paylor and Brayden Kaufman. No more scoring action until the third period when Mark Aljoe gets one more assisted by defenceman Cole Spielmacher and Jordan MacDonald.

We played against Minto at 1:00pm and pulled out a 5-2 win. Scoring in the 1st was Mark Aljoe unassisted and Jarrett Hooper pops one in to make it 2-0 heading into the second. Jordan MacDonald gets one in the second assisted by Noah McNab, but Minto answers back with a goal by Kaleb Solomon, assisted by Brodie Hoffele and its 3-1. The third period sees a little more action when Durham's Brayden Kaufman scores one assisted by Lucas Stone and Minto gets one more from Brodie Hoffele and its now 4-2. With 24seconds left in the game Alex Paylor nets a nice one, assists go to Brayden Kaufman and Noah McNab. The final score 5-2.

A nice start to the Kincardine Silver Stick Tournament!!

Next game in Ripley Monday December 29/08 @ 2:15pm.
See you all there!!!
