Durham Tournament
Boys play two games, lose a close one to Flesherton and then get blown out against Wainfleet
The first game was bright and early Saturday morning against the defending Silver Stick Champions from Flesherton. The boys gave them a good go but fell short losing 3-1 when the game was finished. Flesherton built up a three nothing lead, scoring two in the first and then adding another in the third. Durham finally managed to get one back with three minutes left to play. Landon Halloway from Jeffrey Aljoe & Brady Becker would provide all the offense that Durham would muster in this game, in this day to be exact. Landon was the rightful recipient of the player of the game for Durham, way to go Landon. The next game was at noon against Wainfleet. Where the heck is Wainfleet? Anyway, they scored early and often, tallying up six goals enroute to a shutout victory against the hometown Huskies. Lucas Ball proved that good things come in small packages, he stopped a lot of rubber and was awarded the player of the game trophy, another well deserved, way to go Lucas.
Paw Prints: Sorry for my tardiness in writing this last article, as you can see it was not much to write about. We are now awaiting the winner of Lucknow and Wingham for the playdowns. We should know who we play by the weekend.
